My instructor was the late great Master Leroy Anderson Curtis. He was 5th Dan (degree) instructor in Moo Duk Kwan Tae Kwon Do. He was taught by Master Yung Il Oh in Grand Rapids, MI. At the time of his passing, Master Curtis had over 30 years experience of Tae Kwon Do and about 30 years teaching Tae Kwon Do. He also had experience in American kickboxing, boxing, and wrestling. When Master Curtis first moved from Grand Rapids, MI, he taught Tae Kwon Do in a small town in northern Mississippi called Clarksdale. The name of his school was Clarksdale Tae Kwon Do. This business was very successful and well known for many years. After which, Mater Curtis decided to change locations and changed the name of the school to Future Kicks Tae Kwon Do. Till this day, people who took classes under Master Curtis still talk about how great a workout they received under his teachings and how his teachings changed their lives in many ways.
